System Overview
MERLIN Messaging is an affordable, feature-rich
voice messaging designed specifically for the MERLIN MAGIX(TM) Integrated System and also
compatible with the MERLIN LEGEND R7 Communications System. It is designed to help improve
customer service, increase productivity and lower costs by giving you the ability to
manage your telephone calls.
· Automatic answering and routing of calls helps ensure fast call handling during even
your busiest calling periods.
· "Lost" calls are virtually eliminated, allowing you to meet customers’
needs more promptly and accurately - increasing customer satisfaction.
· "Telephone tag" is reduced, thereby reducing the cost of call-backs and
improving how employees use their time.
· The system can automatically detect incoming faxes and direct them to fax machines,
eliminating the need for and added cost of dedicated fax lines.
· Multilingual mode allows you to offer menu prompts in a choice of languages to meet the
needs or preferences of your callers.
· Voice messages are recorded word-for-word and can be saved, forwarded or deleted.
MERLIN Messaging is available in the United States, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Puerto
Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Architectural Overview
MERLIN Messaging’s built-in Tip/Ring interface
comes in a "plug-and-play" module that slides right into the MERLIN MAGIX system
control unit, for fast, easy integration and with the addition of an optional plastic
enclosure slides into a MERLIN LEGEND system. So, there are no additional space
requirements and no need for additional electrical outlets, line cords, switch voice
terminal modules, or power surge protection - which means added costs to you.
Release History
MERLIN Messaging Release 1.1 was released on
November 1, 1999.
Administration
With MERLIN Messaging, system administration is
performed via a touch-tone interface. And, system programming backup/restore capabilities
are supported through the use of PCMCIA cards - for ongoing management that’s as easy
as can be.
Security
To secure and protect your system, there are many
built-in security features including forced passwords, fixed length passwords, and
transfer only to registered subscribers. |
